What defines a gamer? The frequency they play games online, the number of game titles they master, or having a tuned up gaming PC? Daisy, a 40 years old college professor doesn’t meet any prototypical gamer, but she sure is one.

“I haven’t invested capital in gaming, like getting a major chair with speakers and all the bells and whistles. I don’t spend all weekend online. That’s not me. But I have always enjoyed computer games… So I guess I really am a gamer! I enjoy the competitive aspect of head to head play, but like to be able to play on my own schedule. I like to relax and play games four to five times a week. I’m a horrible insomniac and I play King.com” at night and during the day when I’ve been on my computer for a while and needs a break."

"My favourite games on King.com? That depends on my mood, but I mostly play word games and puzzle games. I like to be challenged. Other things I frequently do online is checking my email, managing my finances and planning my holidays and travels online. "

You’ll probably recognize her if you encounter her online. She possesses a dry wit and a solid sense of awareness about herself. “I’m a snobby intellectual,” Daisy says with a smile.
